Force-Chaplain-Laying-the-Standards for JDF Air Wing
The JDF Air Wing joins the Royal Air Force Association (RAFA) in celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain. The Battle of Britain is the name given to the air campaign waged by the German Air Force against the United Kingdom during the summer and autumn of 1940 in which, against overwhelming odds, the RAF defeated the German efforts to gain air superiority over Britain. It has the distinction of being the first major campaign to be fought entirely by air forces and was the largest and most sustained aerial bombing campaign up until that date.
