celebrating his success in the GSAT Exams.

Being an (A) student from as early as grade one, eleven year old D’Armani Nicholson was outstanding in his grade six achievement test (GSAT).

A past student of Trafalgar Christian Preparatory School, D’Armani was always performing at the top of his class, and so no less his GSAT grades ranged between 95% and 100%.

He was presented with six trophies for academic excellence, being the top performer in Science, Mathematics and Language Arts and placing first overall.

A confident D’Armani with strong support from his parents is looking forward to his new school one of Jamaica’s most prestigious, Campion College.

His mother, Staff Sergeant Wendy Burton-Nicholson from 1 Engineer Regiment( JDF) was very elated to hear that her son had passed his exam and what made it more fulfilling was the fact that it was the school she had hoped for.

D’Armani will not be alone on his new journey as two of his very close friends will be going to Campion as well.

“I’m extremely proud of him, D’Armani is the type of person who will study on his own” said his father, Corporal O’Neil Nicholson who is an aircraft Technician at the JDF Air Wing.

He also said that their combined effort to make the time at home to assist him in ensuring that his studies were done.

It is not always work and no play with D’Armani, as in his spare time enjoys football and watching television. He also has dreams of becoming a pilot.

He had a bit of advice for those who will be doing the GSAT next year “work hard, be yourself and never give up, you will make it”.

The GSAT result determines the grade seven placements of almost fifty thousand students who sat the examination on the 25 and 26 of March 2010.

D’Armani’s six trophies he received at his graduation ceremony
at Trafalgar Christian Preparatory School.
