The JDF parade, furnished by the First Battalion the Jamaica Regiment displayed military pomp and pageantry at the Installation Ceremony of Steadman Fuller as new Custos Rotulorum of Kingston on Thursday 25 February 2010 at the Jamaica Conference Centre, Kingston.
Mr Fuller replaced Reverend Canon Weevil Gordon, whose tenure has ended.

Bruce Golding, Chief of Defence Staff Major General Stewart Saunders and Senior Staff Officers of the JDF.
The Governor-General lauded Mr Fuller as a man who has spent his life working for the Jamaican people. This, he said, has been done through his service as an educator and as the operator of the Kingston Bookshop chain.

In his address to the gathering, the newly appointed Custos emphasized that these are changing times which requires new strategies and as such, one area being readily embraced is the Restorative and Community Justice (RCJ) system.
“A key aspect of the implementation of the RCJ is the setting up of Community Justice Tribunals, and to facilitate these, Community Justice Panels will be formed, and it is here that justices of the peace, along with other community members trained in restorative justice will be required to play a significant role,” he said.
The ceremony lasted just over an hour and the guests were treated to harmonious music by the Jamaica Military Band.
