With a view to improving the Jamaica Defence Force’s Internet Café, the Jamaica Public Service on Tuesday 06 October 2009 donated four computers to the Commanding Officer of the Support and Services Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Desmond T Edwards.
The presentation was made by Major (Retd) George Kates, Head of Risk and Asset Protection at the Jamaica Public Service.
“These computers will help to advance the development of the display of the artefacts and also form a database to keep track of the artefacts at the Museum,” said Warrant Officer Class One Micheal Anglin, curator of the JDF’s museum.
The Internet Café and Museum were recently refurbished and will allow soldiers to spend quality time after work browsing the internet keeping in touch with happenings around the world.
