The Jamaica Defence Force is once again being call upon to provide assistance to our Caricom friends.   This time it is in the form of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) which is scheduled to be hosted by Trinidad and Tobago over the
27 - 29 November 2009. 

The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting provides the fifty-one (51) democratically elected Heads of State and Government and the Member States of the Commonwealth with the opportunity to share and exchange ideas and opinions on global and Commonwealth issues and agree upon collective policies and initiatives.

The Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) will assist the Regional Police Forces and Defence Forces to provide assistance to the Ministry of National Security of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in conducting a Joint Inter-Agency Multi-National Task Force Security Operation for the CHOGM.

The JDF Contingent will be comprised of seventy-seven (77) Infantry and Logistics Support Staff from all Ranks
