A low pressure system South West of Jamaica has seen the island experiencing heavy rains since the start of the week. The JDF Air Wing was advised of the trapped individuals at approximately 3:40 pm and immediately launched a Utility Helicopter to rescue them. The journey from Up Park Camp, however, proved to be a difficult one as strong winds, torrential rain and the resulting poor visibility threatened to bring the rescue efforts to a premature end.
