“JDF Troops are back home”

A seventy-five member Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) contingent returned to Jamaica on Thursday 03 December 2009, after performing security duties at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) held in Trinidad and Tobago from
27 - 29 November 2009.
JDF soldiers and Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) returns to Jamaica.
The soldiers were a part of a seventy-seven (77) Jamaican contingent who provided assistance to the Ministry of National Security of Trinidad and Tobago in the conduct of Joint Inter-Agency Multi-National Task Force Security Operations which provided a safe and secure environment to host the Meeting.
“Overall the trip was a good one, we provided security for the airport, aircrafts and surrounding” said Warrant Officer Class Two Peter Richards, Company Sergeant Major of the contingent.

He went on to say that the interaction between the other Forces was very good. He highlighted that the troops did their country proud.
