With heads squarely to the front and bayonets fixed, the members of intakes 98 and 10 proudly marched unto the parade square signaling the end of their 14 weeks of training.
The Passing Out Parade of intakes 98 and 10 was held on 07 June 2008 at the Moneague Training Camp in St Ann.

The training period was intense and had the recruits working double time to make the transition to military life. During the 14 weeks the recruits were introduced to a variety of military subjects to include map reading, tactics, field craft and drill.
The intake started out with 50 female and 60 male recruits. At the end of the training 40 females and 57 males remained with one male and female receiving the ‘Best Recruit’ award for their outstanding performances and consistency throughout the rigorous 14 weeks.

“You must strive to avail yourselves of the necessary training, educational and developmental possibilities that are characteristics of the JDF, so that in your future endeavours you add value to the organization and the nation. This is what service in the JDF is all about,” General Saunders said.
