Jamaica Ex-soldiers Association of South Florida Inc

Jamaica Ex-soldiers Association of South Florida Inc. (JESA) is a non profit entity. JESA was founded in 1995 by ex-service members of the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) who saw the need of bringing together ex-service members and ex-civilian employees of the JDF to achieve a common goal.

Aim:    a. Provide for mutual assistance, enjoyment, entertainment and improvement of its members socially, by encouraging them to participate in constructive and beneficial form or recreation to promote friendship, to include a high sense of loyalty to each other and to stimulate their intellectual advancement.

           b. To put on fund raising events in order to raise fund to assist charitable institutions locally and in Jamaica such as:

  (1)    Curphey Home – A home for destitute ex-service members who served in World War II and locally (Jamaica)
  (2)    Bustamante Children Hospital (Jamaica)
  (3)    Local Boys & Girls Club.
  (4)    Any other individual/institution within the community.

JESA meets bi-weekly (every 2nd and 4th Sundays) at The Greater American Caribbean Chamber of Commerce Office situated at 4147 North State Road 7 in Lauderdale Lakes, and is also open for membership to non ex-serving members/civilian.

This Association (JESA) is hereby reaching out to the community business and residential in order to properly establish our presence.

JESA is also seeking your assistance as from time to time we need to place flyers for our fund raising events in all areas for the community in order to attract/inform prospective members and supporters, and if at all possible for you to be a regular sponsor in order to help us in giving assistance to those who are in need.

JESA is in no way connected to or affiliated with any other Ex-JDF entity in South Florida.

Working to make our community a better place for all.
